Shih Tzu is the most popular dog breed in the Philippines, according to a survey conducted by HouseholdQuotes.
According to the survey, "A special mention goes to the Shih Tzu, who makes his only appearance in the Philippines. This homely little fellow is originally from Tibet and developed as a cross between the Lhasa Apso and other Chinese imperial breeds."
For the rest of Asia and Oceania though, it's the Shiba dog that's the most popular.
As for the rest of the word, these are their favorite dog breeds:
- Europe: Border Collie
- North America: Rottweiler
- South America: Rottweiler
- The Middle East & Central Asia: German Shepherd
- Africa: German Shepherd
Going back to the Shih Tzu, judging by these photos, it's easy to understand why they are loved by Filipinos.
